Payroll Administrator – Fulltime

 

Purpose

This position is responsible for the processing of Centro's weekly and semi-monthly payroll, using an in-house payroll system. The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of

payroll, including recordkeeping and reporting. This position will also provide accounting assistance and support to Centro's Finance department.

 

Job Summary:

Responsible for reconciling the time-clock hours to Centro's payroll software system weekly.  Will process weekly and semi-monthly payroll for all Centro locations throughout the U.S.  Be able to field  payroll-related questions from all Centro associates in a friendly and helpful way.  Handles all employment verification requests from various outside agencies.  Reconciles the monthly benefits billing statements to the associates payroll deductions to ensure accuracy.  Reconciles the accrued payroll accounts on a monthly basis.  Creates and posts all payroll journal entries into Centro's ERP accounting software.  Serves as backup/assistant for various Accounts Payable duties

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  1. Associates Degree in Finance, Business, Accounting or related field required. 

4 Year Accounting Degree preferred.

  1. 3-5 years of payroll experience required.  Manufacturing industry preferred.
  2. Experience working with time and attendance and payroll systems
  3. Knowledge of payroll and accounting practices and principles
  4. Exceptional attention to detail.
  5. Ability to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality.
  6. Strong analytical and  problem solving skills.
  7. Strong computer skills, medium-level Excel knowledge required
  8. Ability to multi-task on a regular basis.
  9. Willingness to accept and embrace change in order to improve efficiencies
  10. Friendly, helpful, and customer-service oriented.
